Phoenix Brands Ltd (PBL) was established in Ireland in 2009 and both develops and distributes branded golf equipment to the Irish, UK and European markets.

Founding director, Dean Klatt, had previously owned the successful Phoenix Sports Marketing golf distribution business in Australia and has also designed and developed a two lines of golf hardware for the Australian market.

Phoenix Sports Marketing (PSM) was formed in Australia in 2000, and represented brands included Cleveland Golf, Never Compromise and Fidra Clothing.

PSM quickly established itself as one of Australia's leading independent distributors, smashing previous sales records while significantly expanding the market reach for brands represented. Importantly, PSM's attention to customer service developed during this time, leading the company to win Cleveland Golf's 'International Distributor of The Year' Award on two occasions, in 2001 and 2005.

PSM also developed and launched its own line of golf equipment, RedBack Sport, which grew quickly while attracting the eye of many competitors. The brand was sold in 2002 and is still successful today, being sold in many countries around the world.

2008 was a watershed year, with the remaining PSM business sold to SRI Sports International (Srixon) as part of a global take-over of the Cleveland Golf brand.

Founding PSM director Dean Klatt took the opportunity to up-stumps and, with the urging of his Irish wife, move his family to Ireland.

Phoenix Brands Ltd (PBL) was formed in Ireland in January 2009 and initially began distributing the Nickent Golf brand throughout the UK and Ireland whilst also working on plans to develop two specialty hardware brands, Phoenix Golf Equipment and Archer Golf.
